From Paris to Versailles, take a journey through time. You’ll begin in Paris, where a royal palace formerly stood where the Louvre museum currently sits until Louis XIV chose to construct a new palace on the outskirts of the city. Versailles, the magnificent land, was the new palace.
You’ll meet your host outside the Montparnasse train station, and they’ll take you to your train and Versailles. Your guide will provide facts with you along the journey to understand more about the palace you’re going to see. You may also use this time to speak with your host, a local expert, and ask questions about other things to see and do in Paris.
Your host will accompany you to the palace entrance once you arrive at Versailles. You’ll be given your timed-entry ticket into the palace, as well as an audio guide. Before you enter Versailles, your host will show you how to use your return train ticket to go back to Paris on your own.
Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure at Versailles. Your ticket grants you admission to the entire estate, including the palace, the Estate of Trianon, temporary exhibits, the gardens, and the park, as well as an audio guide.
Allow at least 2-4 hours to tour the inside and gardens of the palace. Transportation from Paris to Versailles takes roughly 2-3 hours round trip, so plan on spending at least five hours on this tour.

No. Your host takes you to Versailles and gives you explicit directions on how to get back to Paris on your own. You are free to stroll about the palace and grounds at your leisure.

What should I do about lunch?
If you want to eat in Versailles, your host can give you some recommendations. There are many excellent options on and around the estate.
Can I take pictures inside the palace?
Yes, photography is permitted. However, flash photography is prohibited in certain areas.
What is the rescheduling policy?
We are aware that plans might change. You may easily change your tour up to 24 hours before departure. We provide a 100% refund up to 24 hours before the start of your tour. Within 24 hours of your tour, we would have incurred hard costs and therefore cannot allow rescheduling or cancellation without costs.
What if it rains?
Our tours go on rain or shine, so please check the weather forecast before you go. If we have to cancel due to severe weather conditions, we will give you the option to reschedule or get a full refund.
