Discover Paris along the majestic Seine, the river that gave it life.
The history, notable features, architecture, and a whole lot more are covered on this Seine river walking tour.
Our journey will start at the Henri IV statue in the center of the Pont Neuf, the first stone bridge constructed in Paris. You’ll discover a mystery about Île de la Cité as you look around you.
After leaving the bridge, proceed down the Seine’s southern side until you get to the Pont des Arts. Although this bridge was built in the 19th century, the breathtaking views are what you’ll remember it for.
You can learn about a significant aspect of Paris’s identity by listening to the stories of the Rive Gauche and the Rive Droite at the Pont du Carrousel and Pont Royal. On the northern side, you’ll also spot a well-known landmark: the Louvre itself!
Enter the Musée d’Orsay as the tour draws to an end. If you ever wondered where all the Impressionist artwork that France is renowned for could be found, go no further than the Louvre.
Your tour guide will explain how this facility came to be (it wasn’t originally a museum) and what you can expect inside before you go in to explore on your own.
Your guide will provide you with information on the most intriguing paintings as well as your priority access ticket. Don’t miss Renoir’s “Bal au Moulin de Galette” or Monet’s “Nymphéas bleus.” Additionally, there is a gorgeous, light interior as well as sculptures, ornamental arts, pictures, and much more to enchant you. We advise spending at least two hours, although art enthusiasts might wish to stay longer!
Don’t forget to visit the museum’s patio. The Seine and the bridges you recently visited are both beautifully visible from there.
