We’ll start with the Moulin Rouge, the birthplace of the can-can and a one-time haunt of artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Climb the winding alleyways and stop at the locations where “Amélie” was filmed: the Cafe des 2 Moulins, the old Rue des Abbesses, and Paris’s last two windmills. You’ll even get to view the city’s only vineyard while you’re there.
Montmartre’s summit is the highest point in Paris and the end of our tour. Before we enter the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, we’ll take a moment to appreciate the vista. While admiring the church’s stunning architecture, your guide will tell you more about this 19th-century basilica.
You’ll understand why Parisians and tourists alike fall in love with Montmartre after our walking tour. It’s a genuinely magical place.
