The Louvre is the world’s biggest art museum, but the courtyard and surrounding area are like a separate museum – and much more extensive. Before you visit this magnificent work of art, we’ll take you on a short walking tour to cover everything.
Your guide will tell you about the museum’s history and how it ties to the various neighboring attractions. Learn about the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (not to be confused with the arch on the Champs-Élysées), the flower-filled Jardin du Tuileries, the 2-mile Axe Historique, and the Cour Napoleon. You’ll also learn all there is to know about the museum and its famed pyramid.
It’s the ideal starting point for your Louvre self-guided tour. Each tour participant gets a timed-entry museum entrance ticket, allowing you to make the most of your time in Paris.
