Climb the Eiffel Tower as its creator, Gustave Eiffel, intended. That’s why we created the world’s first Eiffel Tower Guided Climb—because he believed it was the most excellent way to view the tower. You’ll learn about the tower’s engineering, architecture, history, and brief notoriety on an interactive tour led by a local guide.
Take a break while ascending the first level and admire the sights, even through the transparent floor below. It’s also possible to see a portion of the tower’s spiral staircase almost lost to history.
Next, go to the second floor for a breathtaking view of Paris, including the Louvre, Notre Dame, Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre, the Grand Palais, the Seine river, and more. If you’re looking for something to eat (the macaron bar is a popular spot), your guide can advise on the best place.
If you’ve already purchased and paid for the summit upgrade, you’ll proceed to the top in a glass-walled elevator. Gustave’s private office with wax statues of his daughter, Claire, and Thomas Edison is on display at the peak. Other exhibits include old maps and even a model of the reddish-brown 1889 peak. Enjoy the vistas from the inside and outdoor observation decks, and end the day with a champagne bar cocktail.
When you’re ready, return to the esplanade. If you’ve chosen our Seine river tour upgrade, you may go to the boat dock directly after your climb or go on another day. You may use your Seine river cruise ticket for up to a year.

Reviews

We had an amazing time climbing the Eiffel Tower. Kamila, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. While it says its 700 plus steps, it's not as hard as you think it's going to be and well worth the pain!!! You climb at your own speed and rest in between levels. The views from the top are SPECTACULAR!!!

Meeting point
Meet alongside the Eiffel Tower on Allée des Refuzniks, outside the South Security Entrance (Entrance #1) of the Eiffel Tower. If you are facing the river, the Eiffel Tower is on your right. Do not pass through any security checks. We are outside the South Security Entrance/Entrance #1 near the trees and the benches with a sign that says “ExperienceFirst.”

FAQs
How much climbing is there?
There are around 700 stairs to the second floor. We ascend at a pleasant, moderate pace, with a break on the first level halfway through. Our Eiffel Tower Tour by Elevator is a good option if mobility is an issue.
Will we have to wait in line?
You’ll skip the long elevator lines, but you’ll have to wait in line for admission. This might take anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes during peak season. Fortunately, your guide will keep you entertained so that time goes by quickly.
Are there lockers available before we go up?
No. We advise that you leave your baggage at your hotel since the Eiffel Tower’s personnel has the authority to deny access to visitors with excessive luggage. Foldable strollers are also prohibited from the climb.
Is there food and drink available during the tour?
The first and second floors do include food and drink outlets, as well as restrooms. Your guide will provide restaurant suggestions.
What if it rains?
Our tours go on rain or shine, so please check the weather forecast before you go. If we have to cancel due to severe weather conditions, we will give you the option to reschedule or get a full refund.
What is the rescheduling policy?
We are aware that plans might change. You may easily change your tour up to 24 hours before departure. We provide a 100% refund up to 24 hours before the start of your tour. Within 24 hours of your tour, we would have incurred hard costs and therefore cannot allow rescheduling or cancellation without costs.
Are gratuities included?
Tips are always appreciated but never expected. They’re a great way to tell your guide they did an awesome job and show your appreciation.
